Donna Tuten is a painter, working primarily in oils. After raising a family and moving to the Roanoke Valley from Richmond VA (USA) , Donna began to explore her long-held passion for art. She loves travel, and much of her art is inspired by places she has visited. Donna is diverse in subject matter and style. Water, glass and its reflections, vineyards, animals, florals and landscapes are among her favorite subjects. Her style varies between realism, expressionism and impressionism, depending on her mood. Only after starting a painting will the style unfold.
Donna is the proud mother of two grown children and one grandchild and is an avid scuba diver, nature lover, traveler, and explorer. She is often found painting on the weekends in her working studio at Gallery 202 in Downtown Roanoke.
