This painting is actually a self-portrait done from a photo taken by my boyfriend, seated behind me, of an all-day canoe trip down the river with friends, who are just ahead. You are exactly right ... enjoying a little "paddle break" and admiring the beauty. This painting actually came in 2nd in the "Welcome Summer" contest.
