"Interstate 81, Mile Marker 210," 16 x 40" oil painting on gallery-wrapped canvas, a perfect sofa-sized painting!
I travel Virginia’s Interstate 81 quite a bit, and there is a favorite spot of mine along the way that I always look forward to seeing, and take notice of, each time that I pass. It has rolling hills with rows of growth in its fields, a most beautiful panorama visible from the interstate. If I am not driving, I try to capture its beauty in a photo, but I’ve never been able to accomplish that as we are rolling down the highway. I was able to snap an adequate photo on our last trip and then translated my vision of it into this painting. I hope its beauty will also speak to you.
