Aside from being a part-time artist, I am a full-time court reporter. One of the things that I really enjoy about my court reporting position is that I have the opportunity to travel the state and see some really cool parts of our beautiful Commonwealth. One of the towns that I particularly enjoy visiting is the quaint little town of Staunton VA. While working in Staunton last month, I was staying at the Stonewall Jackson Hotel. It really is a beautiful hotel. I woke up and peeked out of my hotel room window just as the sun was beginning to rise and was casting a lovely glow on the other buildings outside of my window. It was so beautiful, and I knew then that it was painting worthy. This view from Room 422 is the end result. Coincidentally, the domed building is the Augusta County Courthouse, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

After raising a family and moving to the Roanoke Valley from Richmond VA, Donna began to explore her long-held passion for art. She loves travel, and much of her art is inspired by places she has visited. Donna is diverse in subject matter and style.
