For being February, I know it is exceptionally warm outside for some of us, but this is what it could be like this time of year here in Virginia. I painted this after seeing photographs my friend, Rose Marie Henry Adams, posted on Facebook that she had taken during the last snow of these beautiful cardinals gathered at a feeder outside her window. The photos were amazing, so I asked her if she minded if I painted one of them. She graciously agreed. Thank you, Rose!

After raising a family and moving to the Roanoke Valley from Richmond VA, Donna began to explore her long-held passion for art. She loves travel, and much of her art is inspired by places she has visited. Donna is diverse in subject matter and style. Water, glass and its reflections, vineyards, animals, florals and landscapes are among her favorite subjects. Her style varies between realism, impressionism and expressionism, depending on her mood.
