I was in Richmond VA at the beginning of the month for my monthly Art & Architectural Review Board meeting and was pulling into a parking lot off of The Fan District's Park Avenue. As I was pulling in, the changing leaves on the trees lining the street were stunning, and the early morning sunlight was peeking through, illuminating them even more. I couldn't help myself but to stop and snap a photo, which was used as the reference photo for this painting, "Autumn in The Fan."
