Description
In honor in Raymond Vineyards recently receiving Wine Enthusiast's Wine Star Award for American Winery of the Year, I went through some photographs from our visit there in 2011 and painted a second painting of their Crystal Cellar Room. Raymond was the most unique and memorable winery we visited in Napa. The wine bottles, amidst the stainless steel tanks, mirrors, Baccarat crystal, neon lighting and lit candles, created an interesting composition and vivacious colors for this painting. Also present, but not painted, were mannequins dressed in what could be Vegas showgirl attire, standing sentry over the tanks and hanging from trapeze swings.

Thank you, Dominique, for your kind comments. I hadn't thought of it that way, but I believe you are right ... it does resemble an alter. I kind of understand that, though ... I love wine! :-)

Great composition! Good colors rendering the inside light. How they worship wine like in a church! this could be an altar…:)
