Description
For some reason, I really love to paint wine bottles and glass. I think it's all about the reflection and highlights. A painting can looks so blah up until the last part when you hit it with the reflections and then "POW!" Plus, I like to drink it! :-)
Thanks to Doug Frassa who took the still life photograph I used as the reference for this painting.

Hi, I was wondering if you could tell me what inspired you to make this? And if there are any famous or researchable artists that inspired your artwork? Or any style that you try to incorperate into your piece? I really love your artwork and I'm writing an analysis on this particular one as part of my coursework, I can't find out much over the internet so I thought it would be better to contact you directly, so thank you for your time.
Donna Tuten replied:
Hi, Helen. Thank you for you interest and kind words about "All Lined Up." What inspired this piece is that I love wine and love to paint glass. There are two artists whose work I admire, Victor Bauer and Christopher Mize, both of whom have sites here on Fine Art America. My style seems to bounce around a bit, depending on what I am painting and my mood on that particular day. This piece is a little tighter and more realistic than many of my other paintings. I hope this information was helpful!
